Description
Prerequisite: History 201 and History 202 or approval of instructor. This is an upper level course designed for History/Political Science majors. The subject matter also appeals to non-majors. The course examines the histories of the many diverse peoples who make up the U.S. and the political philosophies and institutions that hold them together as one nation. The course utilizes four themes to organize and focus class topics: diversity, economic class and systems of political power, the environment and globalization. Credit: Three semester hours.
