Description
This course introduces the legal and ethical foundations upon which the practice of human capital management is based in the contemporary workplace. This course explores their impact on the development and implementation of workplace policy and procedures including such issues as building positive employee relations, unfair labor practices, discipline and formal complaint resolution, Labor Relations law, Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action, discrimination and harassment in the workplace, employer and employee rights, privacy, legal and ethical practices in hiring, evaluating, promoting, and terminating employees.
