Description
Prerequisites: SOWK 201, ECON 200, HIST 101 or 102, PoSc 201, SOC 201. This course provides an historical overview of the development of social welfare as an institution, and the delivery of services. The history of social work as a profession is also provided. Emphasis is placed on the post-13th century developments. The content provides the student with the knowledge and skill to understand major policies that form the foundation for social welfare. Credit, 3 semester hours. Offered in Fall semester
