How are the classes set up?

Classes in the Liberal Arts evening program are taught in cohorts. A cohort is a group of students who go through the program as a group. The Liberal Arts degree cohorts allow the group of students to decide which classes they will take to complete their major. Students will be able to select their courses as a group.

English and History/Political Science classes are offered in the accelerated format (each class meets for 5 times (20 hours in class) with 20 hours of outside group work. Biology classes meet for a full semester with 2-3 Saturdays as labs or field trips.

Classes in the Liberal Arts program are available as electives to ALL students.
This allows for students in other programs to complete their elective courses and brings a variety of backgrounds into the program.  However students in other programs are not involved in the course selection process for the Liberal Arts cohort.
