Special Education: Learning Disabled PREK-12 Add-On Endorsement

An Add-on endorsement in Special Education is available to students pursuing licensure in PreK-6 or a secondary subject, and to teachers holding valid teaching licenses. Applications for admission to the add-on endorsement program must be filed with the Director of Teacher Education no later than the semester prior to starting the program. An overall grade-point average of 2.5 or above is required on all coursework previously taken. Please contact Nancy Brown for additional information.

At the request of new students, we are adding the EDUC 411 - Special Needs Assessment in the traditional May term and EDUC 347 - Characteristics and Needs of the Learning Disabled in the traditional Summer term.  We must have at least 5 students registered for these classes in order to hold them.  Please see the traditional schedule for dates.  If you need any further information, please see Nancy Brown.

Special Education courses will be offered through the ADS program starting in Fall 2008 as a 15-week course.  ADS students should check Special Education Fall 08 calendar.
